The hipsters are making it 'cool' again.
Plus, look at the weather. Almost freezing, snow coming.

Ask again when you look for what is sale in the summer...When they can most likely get more $$.

I think it's more just that the old bikes are well made. Unlike a car, iPod, or computer, a new bike isn't really better than an old one. So people hang onto them forever, and there are plenty of quality old bikes around. If you want a new bike, I'm sure you can find one for a pretty penny.

The decent new bikes run about $400 for just a frame. If you're looking for a complete bicycle that is cheaper, your best bet is Wal Mart or something like that. Don't expect it to last you 20 years though.

I happen to know a bike shop that actually stocks (incredibly) new bikes. Hard to believe, isn't it? Message me for the location of this secret shop that not only sells new bikes, but EXCLUSIVELY sells new bikes.

Are they made of oversized / shaped tubing? Lugless? Aluminum? Carbon fiber? Titanium? Unbelievable. Only ancient bikes, eh?
