We have the Hubbard Street Dance Theater and River North Dance Company.
River North has had some wonderfully innovative dance pieces.

We have a variety of other kinds of dance companies as well.

Alvin Ailey and Dance Theater Harlem are great, but Chicago has its own style.

The State of Illinois, Cook County, and the City of Chicago are literally raping residents with outrageously jacked up prices for municipal services (water, license plates, city stickers etc). So, I assume someone knows things I don't know. Like, Chicago may already be financially insolvent....FLAT BROKE.

I dunno... Right or wrong, a person's impressions of a city are always colored by their personal experiences there. I have to admit that mine are, too. I don't really see any way around that.

It depends on how you define "something". It could mean one is very good at finding a "sugar daddy", or very good at being a trust fund kid.

Actually, a great many of the plays you see on Broadway in NYC got their start in Chicago.

They are, but I think with that post what I was trying to say was this could've happened to him anywhere.

Consider this poster's location -- lot of hate and envy for one of America's premier cities from the wannabe down the pike.
