Any of the black neighborhoods are sure to be crawling with fried chicken restaurants. These primarily lay on the south side.

It's not necessarily "fried" but I can heartily recommend The Fireplace Inn on North Wells as a great place to get large portions of BBQ chicken..

Whats the LTC forum?

I do think its funny/ironic that people are actually going to war over chicken!

By the way I found one today in the city, on North Ave about Southport I think, is Marchiellos Father & Son Pizza.. i went there to get pizza and they have BROASTED CHICKEN! I had to get some in order to report back to everyone.. and it was GREAT! it was that juicy chicken. oh and the pizza was great too.

they have a parking lot too, so for that neighborhood, free parking is another point.

Yes, Marcellos broasted gets a big thumbs up from me too. Their legacy store in Logan Square helped put broasted chicken on the map in Chicago. They also popularized the ultra thin crust pizza style in Chicago. Twas a time that Father & Son was the biggest pizza delivery operation in Chicago, they often used thirty or more delivery men on Fridays and Saturdays.

I'm stopping this fight before it breaks out. It would be great if everybody would calm down and focus on discussing the actual topic of the thread.

True Harold's isn't really soggy, .but more a not-duplicated-elsewhere infusion of chicken, hot sauce, grease, Wonder Bread and trapped steam from the paper plate , foil , and specially folded paper bag that one cannot duplicate at home. The fries acquire a unique texture from this incubation. Say 'no' to a sit-down Harold's ; the journey with the bag finishes the preparation.
I don't like sauce on fried chicken wings. Especially hot sauce
