Mmmmm...Harold's in Hyde Park is the best! I was wondering if they still gave you your food through the window. That brings me back to high school. Chicago's home for Chicken and Waffles has some pretty decent fried chicken. I have only been to the Oak Park location though.

The chicken is good but the waffles suck, IMO.

Other fried chicken joints I like are Uncle Remus (Broadview location is probably the safest) and JJ's Fish and chicken

I'm not a fried chicken expert, what should it cost?

I would put Sharks ahead of J&J fish, personally.

I definitely wouldn't. JJs over Sharks.. At least if we're talking about chicken.

I'm not sure if either of those are Chicago area chains or not? Midwestern?

I guess it depends on which Shark's. I like the one on 35th and Giles. I think both chains are owned by some Arabs, not sure if they are midwestern or not.

Well, I've never eaten at a Sharks or JJs within the city limits.. However, I've eaten at both chains countless times. As of lately, I pass two JJs on the way to and from work (in Homewood and Gary, Indiana). Sharks are all over the place and I like the fries but not a fan of the chicken. I like the Sharks on Western and 211th.

And the question was more about Sharks and JJs locations not who owns it, lol.
