Don't they wish. Let me know when they open a LGBT center, runaway/homeless teen center, etc!

@Chi-town Native - But Lakeview is more than just Halsted St.

@ChicagoMeoI think they're referring to the fact that Wicker Park is considered more artsy and hip yet meathead sports fans closed an intersection in Wicker Park. Sports bars are heavy in Lakeview, particularly on Clark street south of Wrigley. It is more expected that rowdy sports fan would close down Clark St.in Wrigleyville/Lakeview than Wicker Park.

This. It seemed self-explanatory to me. Wicker Park has pretty much become another Lincoln Park or Lakeview, and this incident is an incredibly clear and concise illustration of that. Perhaps it would have been more clear had he said "Wrigleyville" instead of "Lakeview," but his point is well-taken.

This happened last time they won the cup too. In fact I think there were more people out there back in 2010 then there were this year.

Short memories. Or perhaps people who didn't live here in 2010.

Back during the Bulls' 3-peat years, sports fans routinely shut down all of the streets all over the city, including Wicker Park and Lakeview.

Last night's activity was nothing compared to the way things happened back in the 90's.

Some blowhard on the radio this morning was saying that this is as big as the Bulls in the 90s. Lol....
