Are both the red and green line closed?

So I gotta take the bus or a cab?

Green line can get you there. There are plenty of buses too - either the State Street or Clark buses will do it. I usually take the Halsted bus from Grand/Milwaukee and hit some bars on Halsted and then walk to games. There's a Metra stop there too, but I haven't tried that yet.

OK thanks. I wasn't sure from the CTA site if the Green Line was closed. Glad it isn't!

Here's the White Sox page on the Red line closure, it looks like Red Line trains switch over to the Green Line, so you won't even have to switch trains:

Quote:
Red Line trains will continue along the Green Line elevated structure beyond the Loop, so those who board the Red Line anywhere north of the Cermak stop are virtually unaffected.

Technically neither the Red nor the Green are closed, just the Red Line is re-routed to the same tracks the Green Line uses. So it's about a 5 minute further walk from that 35th Street station than from the Dan Ryan one, but it's still very accessible.

Oh ok. Cool.

I am down in that area fairly often, just usually bike.

Appreciate it.

Yep easy on the Red Line with the 35th st stop like emathias said. I took it last month to see a Sox game, pretty straight forward.

If you're near LaSalle & Van Buren you can take the Metra to the "Lou" Jones station at 35th as well. But if you're near the Green Line that's gonna be your best bet.
