Not really. Just because you can find dive bars everywhere doesn't mean that's where most people are. I'd say Sports Bars/Irish Pubs are more popular

I kind of lumped them in with what he said. He sounds like we wanted a low-key bar, possibly with sports and/or live music, to me that sounds like pretty much every neighborhood bar. I don't think there's much that separates a dive bar from an Irish pub or sports bar other than themed decor or more TV screens than average.

There are some intentionally grungy punk-rock-style dive bars, but I don't think he meant just those since he said he also likes sports and music.

I'm thinking about this way too much.

Thats actually what I am talking about. In addition to that, sports and live music/lounges too.

A place Delilah's for example, even though the guy is a ****ing Bills fan. I dont know enough bars or areas with these in abundance though.

Whats the best soccer bar/pub in town?

I had heard there was one but totally forgot. I think it was near Wrigley or something.

Small Bar was a big soccer bar when I used to go there, not sure if that is still the case.

O'Shaughnessy's Public House on Wilson and Ravenswood. I remember watching the World Cup there.
