My current landlord is not doing adequate repairs to water damage in my apartment and I feel I may have to move out. I have a Siberian Husky (60lbs) and I am looking for a better dog-friendly apartment. I currently living in Lincoln Park near Wiggly Field at Sheffield & Shubert and would like to stay close to the park. I am willing to pay up to $1200-1300 for a good 1+ bedroom apartment. Any suggestions from current dog owners in the area?

Search on craigslist, and/or contact some of the apartment search services. I had a husky mix and even though I ended up choosing a dog friendly place in West Lakeview, we found plenty of place in Lincoln Park that would take them.
BTW, if your landlord is giving you problems (especially mold related) you should really get assistance. You can try Chicagoland Apartment Association .:Owner Resources > City of Chicago Landlord Hotline:. (broken link)

Talking Dog friendly Lincoln Park apts

I am a traveling therapist and will be in Chicago from late June through Sept. I am looking for 2 apartments (one for another traveler) both that will accept 2 dogs each in Lincoln Park. I really don't want to live in high rise because it's not very convenient for the dogs. Ideally the apartments would be furnished, though this is not an absolute must. Price range up to $1300-$1400. I have searched just about every apartment search website I could find. Most places I found had poor reviews. Any suggestions? Any websites I may not have thought of? Thanks!

try the Chicago board...

Realistically landlords HATE short term leases that go past Labor Day, which this year is early as ever -- September 1. It is going to be a bit of work finding any apartment that allows TWO dogs, I hope that they are tiny things, as that might reassure the landlord.

I wonder if you might not be better off try to find one of those "vacation swap/house sitting/bed&breakfast sites? Some one was suggesting that as an option for a traveler, though I suspect that the price is going to be higher than what you are looking at...

I'm here. Just send me a DM when you see a post that needs to be moved.

Have you tried craigslist and the Chicago Reader? Your best bet is a sublet. Also, why just Lincoln Park? Expanding the area you are looking in with help a lot. Are you looking for a 1 bedroom in that price range?
