If I was employed I'd skip work Mon & Tue. I would just give the excuse that my car doors froze shut. One time I broke my car door handle trying to open it when it froze shut.

I missed an interview on Thursday because of the bad snow.

So I went to the office today, went grocery shopping afterwards, and came back with no problems whatsoever.

I had on the following:

- Short sleeve t-shirt
- Long sleeve dress shirt
- Long sleeve wool sweater
- Long sleeve cotton sweater
- Cotton outer coat with hood
- two pairs of cotton socks
- water resistant boots
- cotton slacks
- boxer shorts
- wool scarf
- wool skully
- Thin fabric gloves

I was perfectly fine walking around outside. If I had some long johns on, a ski mask, balaclava, and ski gloves I can stay outside even longer with no problems.

In the future, it might be a good idea to get a full body coat like the following if you are worried about the cold.

I like the down one better:

The best are the white out ones like from Ice Station Zebra -- http://www.summitpost.org/outdoor-ge...suit-2007/4958
