Squab.

I guess if you're going to chow down on flying rat it helps to give it a fancy name.

Did anyone else see dead pigeons or animals outside? How did that make you feel?
were they frozen in mid air? That would be pretty cool.

Pigeons are a staple of any large city worldwide. They'll be back.

I wish the ACA had some sort of "Do not feed the pigeons" act appended to Medicare. Old people are the worst goddamn contributors to pigeon populations.

Just as well, this thread is horribly depressing but with a black humor.

No doubt. Stupid old people.

Horribly irritating, and even more since the leftover food (of which pigeons aren't the smartest feeders around) also ends up feeding the Racoons.

I see Racoons at a remarkably annoying frequency at the places that the pigeons don't clean up well.

I swear I just heard something that sounded like Canadian geese. Anyway, this is a pretty cool raccoon documentary, and they appear to get smarter due to life in the city. I'd be curious to know how many we actually have in the city proper. I know there are tons in the suburbs...

They check in and don't check out, eh?

You see a dead, frozen pigeon? Look away and move on. Don't think twice about it.

Racoons seem to be relatively common now. We've had visitations on our back porch unfortunately.
