I like the space of this one a little better.

I will never rent a unit without laundry on site after this winter. My friend did and I saw his misery... even if laundry is right across the street. Nope. But hey, to each their own.

When we move, we are going with heat included as it is not included right now where we are at.

I actually contacted this one last week. Then realized it's not available until Sep 1st.

You definitely pay a premium for being new the L or Metra. I found this apartment in North Park AVAILABLE NOW! Sunny 2 BED! It's a lot closer to the Edens than anything in Rogers Park or Ravenswood, but the tradeoff is the closed brown line stop at Kimball is a bit of a hike.

The one you posted earlier is nice. It looks open and the exposed brick is cool. That deck is awesome too.

I guess the catch is the lack of laundry and the units themselves could be on the small side. It's hard to tell from pictures. That said, it's hard to beat that location for metra access.

Would be interested in hearing people's opinions on which of the two places I mentioned they'd go with and why (the studio in Ravenswood vs the 1 bedroom in Rogers Park)....

I personally greatly prefer Ravenswood to Rogers Park, but my sister lives in RP right by the lake and loves it.

She was looking in various suburban areas and city for comparison. The conclusion was that very few rentals for a one bedroom below seven hundred or eight hundred and those are probably not too desirable if they can be found. For comparison I have an apartment for rent in Berwyn but its a two bedroom and its 1150, with 50 for parking in the garage.
