That's called being a debbie downer. Perhaps you are living in the wrong climate..? None of the Northern US climates are consistently that cold. Winter is 4 months max in this country.

Your welcome! I love the graphs too. It helped me plan when I travel for work and when I had to choose a date for switching over to winter tires.

Chicago's climate is roughly four months of crap weather, four months of fair weather, four months of excellent weather.

Late November to mid-late March is crap weather season, most of that being winter of course.

First snowfall is around December 1st. Snow and slush typically starts melting in late February. Normally our first tolerable day of the year (60's or above) is in mid-late March.

This is a great thread! I may be the only person who has ever actually looked forward to seeing what Chicago winter is all about, although I have no allusions about needing to be prepared for the more extreme cold. The idea of a likely warm up at the end of March sounds like heaven. March is our snowiest month.
