Is it all but dead? I think Chicago needs a few new skyscrapers. I know they are building the "Asian" themed one with 88 floors

Any recent info on the direction of the spire?

There is nothing "Asian" themed inherently about Wanda Vista other than the fact it's being partially funded by Chinese investors.

As far as the spire, it's dead. Related bought the site and is promising something architecturally good there.

The spire is dead. Related Midwest took over the property and says they will develop something 'architecturally significant' there. Related just sold 111 W. Wacker for $333 million, so hopefully that money is burning a hole in their pocket.
