As an adult, is it possible to stop into the park department gyms and shoot hoops and jump rope or are they booked up with leagues, and/or mobbed with kids? In particular, Jesse White on W. Chicago but also in general.

Age is no restriction, I was playing ball at park gyms til I was near forty. Just call and check when they have open gym. By my past observations, these courts were usually under-utilized any way.
