Just wondering if you know any buildings in Chicago that are still not-gentrified and updated like they were in like 1930 or 1920? I would love to take a trip back in time to see what Chicago used to look like a century ago. OK I know about the Prairie homes on the near south side, for sure. I'd love to see some of Chicago that has not been touched and we can still see some of them like we had a century ago.. Is there anywhere in Chicago that has not been revamped?

Or if not 1930, maybe 1950 or so? Im looking for old Chicago style architecture. If anyone remembers like Division and Clark before the Jewel was put up, there was a Rickets restaurant and above it apartments, with the bay windows sticking out with the old old iron architecture on it. i kinda miss seeing that.

Most any working class residential neighborhood is the same architecturally as it was in the 1930s-1950s.

As far as commercial areas:
Uptown along Lawrence/Broadway.
The town center of Pullman.
Rogers Park, Howard street east of the Red Line.
Most of Garfield Park.
Chinatown along Wentworth/Cermak.
Avondale along Belmont.
Lincoln Park, the mansions along Fullerton between Orchard/Geneva.
Western Logan Square along Fullerton.
Many parts of Lake Shore Drive adjacent to rows of historic highrises.
Many parts of Bronzeville.

Most of Pilsen, although many of the buildings now have murals.
