Human men are not generic at all. Do you honestly think tall, fit, handsome, and white privileged men deemed to be sexually desirable and appealing by society and the media are on the same level as some short, fat, and ugly minority deemed to be asexual by society and the media? How often is the general man dressed in a tux and bow-tie anyways?

People are highly impressionable. Society and the media has been portraying white people, both white men and white women to be highly desirable and sexually appealing. Whereas they have been portraying Asian men as being effeminate with small egg rolls. It might sound funny, but honestly ask yourself what you or your friends and family think of when they think of Asian men? One of the first thing is going to be small egg rolls.

Yes, most women want a guy with money, so they might date or marry an Asian man to use him financially. There are plenty of women out there that want to date Asian men because they think they are submissive and docile and will bend over backwards to an attractive women that is actually interested in him.

.
it's all about the money dude.. stop disillusioning urself. a man of any race gets anything he wants if he has the currency. there are plenty of poor ethnics with good looks and muscles and stay there who realize that they're still living in the same bs life at 40 and finally hits them that they've been lied to all this time by the media.

if u believe women desire men for personality and looks, you are living in a a communist fairy tale. the system throws ethnics a bone via media. makes them feel better about their big encyclopedia parking bookshelf butts and brown muscles. but in the end, thas all they got. system's gotta make the illusion that they feel important too. they pull a karl marx and throw youse a bone.

media does the opposite for the marginal middle class white guy and asians, and emasculates them both. it's a hedge to make sure the others feel important and can feel they have some pride and superiority in some superficial way.

These statements are not "fantastical/enraged sentiments" at all. Just look at all the hate groups and overt racism you see every day, you honestly think that invert racism and prejudice doesn't exist? I really wish that was true, but it isn't. People are very racist, prejudice, and judgmental. Just because you never have to experience due to white privilege doesn't mean it isn't true and doesn't exist.

Just because this isn't the 1920s anymore where minorities can be openly discriminated against doesn't mean discrimination has ceased to exist all together. People are just much more passive and invert about it due to not wanting to commit social and professional suicide by being labeled a racist.

The fact that people are in denial about it and dismissive of it is actually an act of discrimination and white privilege in itself. It is part of the reason why people don't talk about it and just brush it off. They don't want to be dismissed, ridiculed, and be called "socialist, communist, enraged, and fantastical". Case and point, this thread.
This is a majority white country, at least for the time being. If you dislike Caucasians so much or find them so intolerable and nasty, I think at least a third of the world is Asian. Why not go there? It's illogical to immerse yourself in an enviornment with which you are uncomfortable when there are ostensibly better places. Certainly, white privilege is nonexistent from the mountains of China to the fields of Cambodia.

I find your notion that "white men will hate on us because we have better jobs" to have tones of racism and to be a fantasy. It sounds like you have some anger/inferiority issues to work out.

Who is saying this kind of stuff to you? I'm Asian and I spent the summer in Chicago and have not heard one comment about my race from anybody.

How did he get their numbers?

And if he's here for the weekend, of what relevance would he need their number. He must not have told them he was only here for the weekend.

When did I say that I dislike Caucasians? What makes you think that I'm not white myself? Please show me where exactly I said white men hate on "us". I think the one that has fantasy, anger, and inferiority issues here is you. You are obviously seeing what you want to see.

Go ahead, show your true colors. Say what you want to say about minorities.

How was your latest white supremacist meeting by the way? Are you conspiring with Trump to strip all minorities of their citizenship and deport them all?

He talked to them...and then got their numbers? OH no, he told all of them he was just there for the weekend. They didn't even mind. He's just a confident and fairly well dressed, stylish guy

I'm sorry that happened to you, but there are different types of people in a large city. I'm an Asian woman, born and raised in Asia. I once got a woman calling me ignorant at O'hare. And it was probably the only time I experienced racism in Chicago

Maybe you should hang out in Wicker. It's more fun and diverse.

So this racism you experience is almost akin to some random person saying "hey fire crotch,"hey slanty", or "your ugly". People are just being dicks.

Do Asians have a long history of being discriminated against in this country? Educate me.
I'm sure this has already been covered by other posters, but Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans and Mexicans all have their own long history of discriminatory policies aimed directly at them in the West. Not to mention aggression through hangings and slaughters. American history for the most part has an incredible Eastern bias, and its racial lense is very much White vs. Black, so it isn't very surprising that so many are ignorant of the history of those out West. Especially non-white history, as the history books only start caring about California when all the white people start moving West and mention little of the Asian immigrants who suffered largely at the hands of the Irish and the Native Americans who were slaughtered by incoming 49ers who saw them as "pest" to be removed.

It has taken the courageous act of Asian American, Native and Mexican activists, not to mention blacks that came later from the South, that fought hard for their rights for California to come to this supposedly racial harmony that many see in it.
