Hey everyone,

So I just moved to Chicago this summer and live near Irving Park Rd and Clarendon. I have a car here and I noticed that street parking changes dramatically during winter. Suddenly the free parking on Irving Park Rd near Graceland Cemetery is no longer okay to park on starting Dec 1 between 3am-7am daily. I always used Kenmore as my backup, but now there are new permits on that street that prohibit overnight parking unless you have Permit 383 (which I'm not eligible for).

Was wondering if anyone had any free parking suggestions for the area east of Graceland Cemetery, somewhere near Irving. Like I said, I live by Irving Park Rd and Clarendon.

Many of the streets in Buena Park are permit as well, and hard to read at night when driving through to park. Any help to find additional free parking in the area would be appreciated! I'll probably get a garage for winter for my car, but would like options for when people come to visit as well.

Thanks!

I always bought a space in a parking lot or garage in the winter, it just wasn't worth the hassle for me.

Using SpotHero with a monthly filter, the cheapest parking lot to Irving Park/Clarendon is $44 and the nearest garage is $112
