show me how many of those with high paying jobs live in Chicago proper and not the suburbs. We are talking about Chicago in this thread

There is a financial reason why people that live the state of IL move to NW Indiana and points onwards

You can look for yourself and compare. The data clearly show there are thousands of high income earners and families in chicago. City of Chicago median household income is higher than the city of Indianapolis.

What does NW Indiana have to do with Chicago vs Indianapolis??

sure high income earners that can afford that million dollar condo but that'ts not the case for the majority.
Most will live in the suburbs to avoid the high cost of the big city and dangerous schools.

People from IL move to NW Indiana the closest location to avoid such high costs. Here's one such thread:

The above is your original request.

He responded to it, and in your next post, you very obviously move that goalpost.

I woukd choose Chicago. It is larger, cleaner, and has more culture. More jobs, higher incomes, mass transit options in Chicago.

this is like asking "would makes NYC better than Santa Fe?"

each has their own pros and cons, but the differences should be self evident and only you, if youve visited each, can know which you prefer.

The South Suburbs of Chicago can tell us how that plays out.
Then you have the budget crisis and state funding halting again January 1st. Colleges and universities laying off thousands and cutting programs, social services shutting down, schools closing and falling apart, crumbling roads, over crowded jails, junk credit rating, vendors not getting paid, over 50% of residents want out.
Illinois is going to be a state of pain and suffering. Lots of people are screwed and the living in denial about it is comical
yes agree. Nobody wants to talk about that here

not really. Just stating a fact. You do have rich people within city limits but you also have a population in the millions. So those figures you talk about are all relative
