I'm looking to move to uptown (the Lawrence House) Chicago.

How's the street parking near the Lawrence house?

Is Buena Park, Andersonville, Edge Water any better/worse?

When I lived in Roscoe Village I found street parking manageable

its near the lake, so it will be packed. not easy to find a space.. you need to have a space you already pay for. some of the buildings nearby might have parking for non-tenants, if yours does not have parking.

If you are willing to park a half mile or so west, you can start to find street parking easily.

A general rule of thumb is that free parking is harder to find the closer you are to the lake in North Side neighborhoods. The Lawrence House is only about 3 blocks away from Marine Dr, so I imagine it would be fairly difficult.

its all bad. edgewater/uptown east of broadway is probably close to worst in the entire city though.

you are also right near the aaragon/green mill/riv which means it will be even worse any time there is a show.

im being straight with you, if you dont need a car, sell it. the beauty of the neighborhood is its well served by transit and most amenities. if you do need a car, better get a paid spot otherwise i hope you dont mind circling for an hour every day. street spots in this area are extremely rare (aside from meter parking on Broadway)

We lived in Andersonville for over a decade. Never really had problems with street parking.
