I like that area because it's close to the lake and not as congested as comparable north side lakefront areas. but that being said, there aren't enough shopping ans ammentiies in that area for my taste. even compared to other south side neighborhoods. I'd feel safe in that area north of 35th street no problem. but I don't have a problem with south of 35th as you go further towards the lake.

If you are an attractive blond woman at the gym it should be no mystery why men are looking at you, and as for the women well that also is not a mystery.

Are you kidding? Mostly, the ideal of what is the most beautiful is white blonde woman. People I guess, tend to get jealous. And man, do men really like hot white blondes. They also like hot asian chicks, too.

I'm a member of a minority group and for the past 60 years have been involved in situations where the majority of people were majority group members. I get stared at.

That's not racism -- people notice what stands out. I know a woman who is 6'3" who has learned to live with this fact. Concentrate on notice PLUS. If when you are noticed you are invited to leave, that might be racism.

You know, I think there are concepts such as "White Invasion" and "Black Invasion..." -- This concerning neighborhoods. That's what I think might be happening. You know, typically black neighborhoods are "depressed..." But White People would invade for cheaper housing and remodel their houses. - So the Black people would resent this.
