Simple. If you like a post, give them rep points. Click in the lower left corner "+ Rate this post positively" or the upper right corner on the scale symbol which allows you to leave a comment and/or your name.

Stupid question, but how does one read the comments?? Where do you go? Apparently I have comments, and would love to see them!

Hi Briolat21,

To see comments left for you go to the top left of your screen, under City-Data Forum there is a blue bar and there is "My Settings" underneath it. Click on that and when the window opens up you should see a listing of comments left for you . You may also see "Quick-Reputations" and that is where someone left you a "+" but didn't write a comment out. I will leave you a rep and comment now. Enjoy and Have Fun!

Mostly that. But the more rep you have, the higher the number of rep points you give to other people when you "approve" one of their posts, up to a total of five. Right now whenever I approve a post, it gives them three points. Newcomers give one point. However, there are some sub-forums (Politics and Other Controversies, for instance) where you only dish out one rep point no matter how many you have. It's kinda complicated.
