I'm looking to enjoy this summer in Chicago and I am looking for the least crowded beach in Chicago to enjoy all day. Any recommendations

My favorite is Osterman Beach in Edgewater. Not as crowded as some of the other beaches and easy access from the Red Line.

its prob the nicest beach in the city. most of the SS beaches are un-crowded as well.

I'm not a huge fan of Chicago beaches, parking is always a hassle, oftentimes they tend to be crowded. I went to Hollywood Beach a few weeks back, wasn't too bad.

Last summer I used to try 31st Street beach, heard it wasn't crowded but I can never find parking.

I typically head out to SW Michigan, on the weekends its often not much worse of a drive than heading into Chicago from the burbs as long as I don't hit bad traffic on 80

Do all Chicago beaches have parking lots? Can you pay for the whole day or must you feed the meters hourly?

Was at Hollywood beach all day yesterday. It was very crowded by the water but somewhat spacious once you're maybe 50 feet the shore. Best of both worlds.

And it definitely has the most laid back attitude. No incidents at all, and I can't remember ever hearing of any (as opposed to Oak and North).

I like the beach on 43rd street personally. there's no parking over there, but you can park on 43rd street and walk over via the pedway.

I live one mile from Montrose beach I do not go to any Chicago beaches I go for walks but not a beach day.

The best beach around Chicago forget dealing with parking drive to Indiana dunes beach that is a nice beach worth the drive if you want to spend day at beach.

If you want to drive little farther check out St Joseph beach in Michigan also amazing.

Chicago needs to work on making it's beaches better needs better parking Montrose is a mess they need to reconfigure the streets and parking
