July,

I live with people in the "ghetto" of Humboldt Park. My part of the neighborhood is one of the nicer parts. Further south and west it gets really bad as you approach Austin and Garfield Park.

I do know a lot about people from the ghetto and would prefer to have fewer of them to deal with. Some do make it out and make something of themselves. Those who are left behind do not usually amount to much, though there are exceptions clearly as some of their children do make something of themselves.

You may not feel comfortable advocating limits on ghetto people but I do. I live around these kind of people all day and most of them are not pleasant. This very morning, my mixed black friend and I had breakfast and were talking about this very thing. I would limit poor people who depend upon public assistance to 2 or 3 kids. She believes no one should have children unless they are economically ready but did not elaborate on how to enforce this.

My idea is simple. Limit the number of kids that poor people who depend on public aid have and you will have fewer born into poverty and fewer poor people to feed.

I don't care what color you are so long as you contribute to society, whether that be culturally or economically. Living on welfare, food stamps, free healthcare, school lunch programs is not contributing but taking away economically from our society. Culturally, the only thing ghetto culture adds is it makes me feel blessed for what I have both monetarily and value-wise.
