Preckwinkle's stupid commercial which i hate coz it keeps repeating. She says in this one commercial something stupid. Preckwinkle says "I'm hip!" and then the next woman (fan or something) says "Just what we want in a mayor".

Yes right, i want someone that is hip, on my list of top 3 things i want in a mayor..

Duh!

SO STUPID.

Honestly, if we were voting for "most punchable face" she'd win in a landslide.

"If African-American voters are un-energized, if liberal white voters have soured on Preckwinkle as a "reformer," and if other black mayoral candidates (Wilson, Lightfoot, Amara Enyia, La Shawn Ford and Neal Sales-Griffin) chip away at her racial base - which they will - then a Daley-Mendoza runoff looks likely."

I'm not saying this is going to happen but if Daley and Mendoza do end up in a runoff - who's the lesser of two evils?

U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush is backing Bill Daley for mayor. I wonder how much that cost Daley?

My suspicion about Bobby Rush's endorsement of Bill Daley is that Rush is worried about his political future. Illinois is sure to lose a congressional district after the 2020 census. Currently, the Chicago area has 3 African-American representatives in Congress. Since African Americans have been leaving both Chicago and Illinois in large numbers, Rush might fear that one of these districts might be eliminated or could be merged with districts represented by either Danny Davis or Robin Kelly.

Rush might have cut a deal with Daley. Either his district will remain fairly in tact, or district boundaries will be drawn to insure that Rush would prevail in a Democratic primary against either Davis or Kelly, thus insuring his incumbency.

But, I have also heard that Davis, who is my representative, is considering retirement. This might provide an opportunity for Rush, also.
