***I first saw the CNN article in the Philly forum.
They Were very happy to note Philly Ranked #16 in the World.

The 48 best cities in the world in 2019.

https://www.timeout.com/things-to-do...s-in-the-world

Conducted by Tapestry Research, on behalf of Time Out in February 2019, the Time Out Index saw participants questioned on a variety of viewpoints of city life.
Based on surveys of more than 34,000 people in 48 different cities across the globe, the Time Out Index 2019 also indicated that New York was the city most people wanted to visit this year.

CNN Travel also published the link's rank of cities. CNN has not been the kindest to Chicago past few years too ....

https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/n...ity/index.html

NYC came out as the "Most Exiting City"

** Chicago was the city with the "Happiest Residents". Diversity and dissent **

The cities at the top of the list are:
- centers of diversity, diversion and dissent dotted across the world
- places where anything can (and does) happen,
- where new ideas, delicious food and world class art and entertainment are born every day,
- where people from all corners can come together with a shared civic identity.

From link on CHICAGO IN THEIR COMMENT.

Chicago is at number three, but second to none in the rankings for eating, drinking, fun and happiness. In fact, it is the happiest city in the world, with 85% of residents saying they have felt content in the last 24 hours. When it comes to food and drink, Chicagoans can’t speak highly enough of their dining and imbibing scenes, and more than anywhere else, its residents simply think their city is unbeatable (98% said it was great).

*** These results were coupled with insights from Time Out's global network of local editors and experts and put through a scoring system in which factors such as food, drink, culture, sociability, happiness, attractiveness to visitors were taken into account.

TIME OUT'S list here comments on each winning city DOES mention Italian Beefs.

https://www.timeout.com/things-to-do...s-in-the-world

From link:

Chicago is second to none when it comes to food and drink: the Midwestern metropolis was ranked
- number one in the world for supping and sipping. But between Italian beefs and slices of deep dish pizza,
- we make time to hit the gym: 52 percent of us can’t get through the week without exercise.
- And it seems that our balanced lifestyle leads to happiness, with more respondents reporting genuine contentment than anywhere else.

Aside from the winter vertex the year ......

This says that 85 percent felt comfortable in the last 24 hours, and 98 percent said it was great. Those that don't feel this way live on Citidata and complain about everything, especially the ones that have moved away and have an agenda. This is for sure either fake news or news to those complainers on this forum.

Not surprising. Chicago is near the top in most major categories. It’s not surprising it’s ranked so high.

I like to go against trends. Against bandwagons.

Make room for me, Chicago. See you in a couple weeks.

Disturbing, incredibly biased, and frankly just plain wrong. Chicago should have been two places higher.
