I heard this on the news that they want to sell recreational pot on the Riverwalk.

There goes our fresh air and now it will stink. Plus, people getting high, strolling aimlessly on Wacker Drive where traffic goes 60 miles per hour at times, and people are just going to wander on Wacker and Lake Shore Drive, all high and woozy.

Criminals will abound thanks to that.

Bad idea!

Sorry, I hate this idea for the above reasons.

Sounds like a great idea.

Most afternoons, the Riverwalk already has a noticeable pot aroma. You might as well monetize that.

You don't think people are getting high walking around downtown right now? I don't know how many times I've been downtown with the vaporizer fired up.

Driving through downtown the past couple years, the smell of weed is already pretty prevalent; especially on Lake Shore Drive. I'd imagine this wouldn't really change much.

Just let people do what they want. Juul? Sure. Cigs? Sure. Marijuana? Go for it. People have been doing all three for years now.

I hear ya. I'm truly dreading what I might be up against when recreational marijuana is finally legalized here in Ohio. Already I can't sit on a park bench and enjoy some ice cream without someone coming along and blowing cigarette smoke in my face.

Today's weed is much more potent than the weed I remember from 40+ years ago... and it stinks much worse, too. Smells like skunk to me.

Ok however, even though it may be going on now somewhat, when it gets legalized and a designated shopping keosk/store will be on the Riverwalk (or anywhere in the city for that matter).. crowds of buyers will be more prevalent, and the stink more prevalent, since it is now going to be legal .. it will be like Santa Clause for adults.

I dont see how this is going to be a good thing for Chicago, except for druggies and criminals and idiots acting more idiodic and wiped out as they walk around chicago high and getting that thing you get when you get super relaxed and all you want is some munchies.

Wait! I picture it like the Pokemon thing that happened in Chicago, where people were glued to the phone looking for Pokemon and not looking where they were going and some had crashed into stuff/walked into stuff.. like zombies.

ok dont laugh.. i picture downtown like this.. when you legalize this, its going to be increased when it becomes legal.
