Perhaps but I am black and I make more money in Chicago than I ever made when I live in Dallas or Atlanta. I never would have earned what I do here in the south.

I do have to pay for cooking gas in my current apartment however which is an average of $50 a month, which I think is too high because I don't cook everyday. This is for my current apartment. The last apartment I had in Edgewater that I moved from in May of 2019, I only paid rent. The difference between Chicago and Texas is that in Chicago, it is very easy to find apartments where all or most utilities are included.

In Texas and Georgia I had to pay for electricity, gas, water and trash in addition to my rent.

I already stated in my previous post that on average I paid between $70 and $80 a month in Texas.

Why would I need to lie about how much my electric bill is?
You mean to tell me you're using less than 250 watt-hours per day? That on average you're using 10 watts in any given hour? Yeah, I'm still calling BS, unless there's something seriously wrong with your meter. It would take about that much just to keep your alarm clock plugged in, never mind run a microwave or a dishwasher or a an AV system or lights or a computer.

And yes you did neglect to provide heating costs. Just because it wasn't billed to you as a separate line item doesn't mean you didn't pay for it, unless you believe your landlords covered your heat as an act of charity. The truth is you have no idea what you actually pay for utilities so you have no accurate basis for comparison.

Hey bud,

I need someone to pore over all my bills and stuff and make sure I'm not paying too much for service. You seem like a real stickler for detail. What I need. How much would it take to get a guy like you to work for me?

Sorry Karen, I don't have the time to peck out a spreadsheet for you, just to demystify things for you a bit. You can call corporate and leave us a one-star review if you're unsatisfied.

It's rare that somebody on here literally cracks me up, like, in real life. Well done. I owe you a beer, or a White Claw or whatever it is you drink. Come through and claim it. Maybe you'll start running some smack with me in real time. You seem game.

Illinois spends more of its state and local budgets on pensions than any other state, and there's little hope of reform.
