I found a pretty good deal renting a condo in a building located at 4131 Belmont, but I'm not sure what type of neighborhood it is in.

Thanks for any info!

It's a very middle-of-the-road area. There's a reason why it's a good deal: there's nothing to do in that area, it's not convenient to an L line, crime is somewhat of an issue.... it's just kind of a "blah" neighborhood. If there's anything interesting about that area, it's the large concentration of Polish immigrants. That makes for some good delis in the area.

I agree except the Blue line is only about a mile east of that address. Also, the Belmont bus runs 24 hours and the Cicero buses runs around 21-22 hours a day.

A condo at Belmont and Karlov! I never though anything west of Western would go condo! Are more condos in ordinary neighborhoods becoming the rule?
The food shopping in that area has much to offer for Polish delicacies. Britstol, on Milwaukee, is just a block south from Belmont. Wally's Market, on Milwaukee between Pulaski and Belmont, has a huge variety of foreign foods.
The neighborhood doesn't offer much night life, but subway connections at Kimball are convenient, or take a Milwaukee bus toward the Loop. Logan Square is about a 20 minute walk.

I think it's a rehabbed industrial building, if it's the building that I'm thinking of.

I think it was the original location of DeVry.Not totally sure if Florsheim shoe company used this building before DeVry also. But on to the east of it called Shoemaker Lofts was for sure.
Lofts.
