I, too, had issues with police officers when I was younger. But I turned it around. Now I work in corrections. I have good rapport with inmates because I was in their shoes once! But I also support the police because they are devoted to their beliefs in their careers. And obviously, if anyone were to abuse their power they would be wrong! As would anyone in any field who abused their role and mistreated people. ... but we don't hate anyone merely for their employment as a Police Officer, just as we don't hate anyone merely for being a Black individual.
