You do realize there is a difference between absentee balloting and what the democrats and some states have instituted which is to mail a ballot to every household (using god knows what address or voter identification / verification)? Deaths, new addresses, etc. Rife with problems. Imagine in a condo complex... Nursing home, etc.

Some of this is rhetoric and Trump supposedly leaves most things up to states .... till it is now in his favor. Still that is politics in general today in extreme accusations because one state or city was claimed to have dead people voting and it becomes the predominant point for a agenda. This is Florida too and not a state that some see as the mail-in ballot states where its cities are desired for aspects of accusations of voting fraud and those certain cities where Democrat votes are desired to be counted less.

Last thing we need as a Nation no matter what is long lines at voting locations especially in major cities. I got a from my state of PA a Mail-in Ballot AUTOMATICALLY sent to me and wife if we want to use it as the state is promoting it with this pandemic still ongoing.

I may or may not use it as too easy for me in a small city to just go to a local polling location on foot. Now if i lived in a large city? I probably WOULD definitely mail it in. My state did gain a win for Trump last election and I am in a HUGE RIGHT LEANING region of the state which is basically Red in voting in every election. Basically most of the state outside of its two major cities and medium ones.

I will add that only registered voters receive one and it was not just one party.

Even the fiasco of holding up a bible for that infamous Photo-shoot that will be part of his legacy in a hypocritical way too may never have opened one and read it even in is far and inbetween lifetime of Church visits.

Now I fall prey to a totally political post I usually say should be kept more in the Politics forum. At least no one can say Biden has no history of Church attendance.
You do understand that absentee voting is a lot different from mail-in voting right? With absentee voting, you have to arrange ahead of time to get your ballot and there's a low chance of fraud or manipulation. With mail-in voting they just shoot out mass ballots to everyone at their last known address (for whatever that's worth). Then party operatives go out and try to harvest the ballots.

Bleep, sorry John! I posted before I read this, LOL! But I'll leave mine up there because it shows we were thinking the same thing. That's a common talking point but absentee voting is NOT the same as mail-in voting! Totally different animals.

Trump was an absolute knucklehead for making the comments the other day about postal funding that he did. I mean why say that? But he is right in that mail-in voting is a disaster waiting to happen.

I personally always knew one could go for a absentee ballot, but we in this pandemic year made a lot of sense to give a more widespread option of mail-in ballots vs having a excuse of living in another state part-time etc.

Still in a state as Florida of a high Senior population. It makes sense to not suppress more wide-spread mail-in ballots.

It still is a politics ploy to suppress even mail-from-home voting especially this year and in a more Red State then not. In ever State it is generally larger Urban cities that are more blue. Whether my Northern State of PA or Florida.

One has to lower how Great America is if you believe States cannot do mail-in voting without massive fraud actually. How should the world view it if our election is claimed to be riddled with fraud and corrupt politics that we always claimed was a huge point of Greatness.

Great point. I think the best way to do that is to come up with a system that is resistant to fraud and which inspires confidence. Ballot harvesting is a very real concern. How do we address that? Holding up a much needed stimulus package so you can get $25 billion to the Postal Service because you think that will give you an advantage in the election is not it.

You know, the looniest thing i heard on tv lately is in some city, i did not see which one, but its in a gentrified part of town.. so people own homes there..

So the idiot BLM or whomever black people were telling the homeowners to give them their house since the house is sitting on once was black neighborhood.

That is the craziest expectation/demand I've heard.

So you think that Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington all have more voter fraud than other states? These states already vote entirely by mail.

one of Trump’s own appointees is among the many who have lauded Colorado as having among the most secure elections in the country. In the 2018 election, Colorado forwarded only 0.0027% out of 2.5 million ballots for fraud investigation, Griswold said.
