Lake Shore and Wacker intersect is nowhere near Addison and Clark... 6 miles easily. Nevertheless, that'd have to be a pretty ornery cabbie to opt for a relative back road (Lakeshore to LaSalle to Clark) in lieu of the most practical route (stevie/ryan/kennedy or ike).

The traffic backups from people trying to get to Cubs games extend well beyond Addison and Clark.

Moot. Point is Wrigley traffic will not affect McCormick to O'hare period. If anything rush hour will, but unless there is a simultaneous major accident/gapers delay on Cermak, 55, Dan Ryan, Roosevelt, and the Ike, there's no reason a cabbie would ever be taking OP up Lake Shore, particularly that far north; despite the fact that Wrigley traffic will have little effect between 55 and Wacker (and then some) on Lake Shore on OP's travel date, but who in their right mind opts for the leisure route when the plan is to get somewhere quick and you have multiple immediate highway options...

You guys drink the same kool-aid together or something?
