What is this a political ad for Obama? Screw him. He "aint" from Chicago.
Try not to post a whole article or large excerpts from one either. It is against the rules. And the point of your post was what?

No personal offense of course.

Hey Via, I gave you rep for posting the article. Its an interesting read. And can we please stop with the "Chicagoer than Thou" language? Obama may not have been born here, but he got here as soon as he could.

Hopefully he will be gone in the next few years and not to the White House either.
Now you must see why the OPs post was misplaced.
Btw-He is skinny, but tough? Hahaha. I could whip the snot out of him. He would crap his pants if he started anything with me.

Leave Obama out of it. Even if you can't appreciate his awesomeness, this is a great article. And it's wondeful to see outsiders appreciating Chicago! The line that really stuck out for me was:

"The economy is growing faster than New York's or L.A.'s."

THAT is great news.

Fine. I was just stating the facts.
Still I will not draw back from my suggestion on not posting a huge block quote and instead providing a short quote with the link.

I really do not think that article warrants an new thread.

It is all MO and I stated it.

Great article, yes. But the words "Obama" and "awesomeness" just shouldnt be used in the same sentence. Keep the word "awesomeness" reserved ONLY for when youre describing Ferraris. Capeesh?

How about "President Obama" and "awesomeness" in the same sentence?

I'm not qualified to talk about Ferraris. Every time I go into that Gold Coast Bentley dealership (which sells Ferraris), they look at me like, "no, we're not buying it that you could own one of these". Anyone know their test driving policy?

Not a bad article overall, but the description of Hot Doug's really doesn't do it justice. And why did they make Jon Langford anonymous by just calling him "A punk rocker from Wales"?
