People in Chicago don’t realize that a building that beautiful in the heart of downtown in the NE coast cities (NYC, Boston), DC, or the West Coast (SF, LA, San Diego) would be almost double that for a 1BR. $3200 is pretty cheap. It may not be worth it, but it’s still a bargain for what people would e paying on the coasts.

Agree, and it has slowly but surely led to the demise of Chicago’s global image. From “Chiraq” (not just the phrase but a bonafide movie), to headlines every weekend, to hear after year leading the nation in homicides. If it weren’t for this stain, think about how popular Chicago would be. Unfortunately it is the few who have contributed to the city’s demise….

Have armed guards at every train station coming in from the south side.

Ban anybody that dresses the type, looks the type, or is underage, and if they dont have any of those characteristics, search them for drugs/weapons before boarding, and ask them to provide ID along with a valid verifiable reason for coming into the city.

Dont care if black people are offended by it. Human lives are more important that black people's feelings.

I had the misfortune of using the Red Line Tuesday night around 10:30pm from Roosevelt to Chicago; exited the McDonald's side, didn't know what to expect at street level...it was dead. McDonald's was closed for inside customers and only the drive-thru was open. Not sure then what the attraction is for this area then but McDonald's is taking the blame.

Quite surprised at how dead the city was; Rush Street closed, only Tavern on Rush had a few patrons but closing time was 11pm. Division Street was desolate, even McGuire's had only a few folks in there and looked to be getting near closing time. The whole area was dead; no one out walking at all.

Mayor Lightfoot already claimed to have the biggest d!!k in town as she exposed her own racism against Italians in in her priority Columbus Statue removal issue; she doesn't mind throwing out old school stereotypes and smears against Italians and other ''white'' ethnic groups as needed. Nice way to unify your city Mr Mayor.

It's time to whip it out Lori and save your city.

Crime reasons aside, that mcdonalds should not exist. Why does a drive thru suburban mcdonalds exist literally right off a red line subway stop? Its subpar urban planning. Demolish it and build an appropiate high rise. And instead of mcdonalds, put a restaurant there that wont put up with deliquents loitering outside (starbucks, jamba juice, panera bread, etc)

At Ben Gurion, people are profiled based on conduct. The same should apply in Chicago during this recent crime wave.

And if it disproportionately affects black people, THEN SO BE IT.

And if there isn't proper security on the red line, then yes, it needs to be discontinued after a certain hour or during warm months, regardless of consequence. The hoodrats have ruined it, and the city, along with the everything-is-racist enablers, refuse to deal with this terrorism in any serious manner.
