Seriously. The NFC West has really risen from the ashes. I love Russell Wilson, but had no idea he would pan out to be such a great NFL quarterback. And who knew that one of the many second-tier Bears quarterbacks from the past would rise to become part of a football brother coaching dynasty?

There are still skeletons of good teams in Chicago, Detroit, and Green Bay, but right now they look like the three stooges poking and slapping each other.

The poor Vikings have to settle for being Shemp. Or worse yet -- Curly Joe.

Well, that was one for the "winning ugly" yearbook. The wide receivers are really propping this team up right now IMO.

The offense is doing it's job. The defense, not so much.

I maintain hope - however slim - that there's enough time left so that if we can squeak into the playoffs Peanut and Briggs can turn that around. But it is really disconcerting to watch a Bears defense look this bad.

Well we control our own destiny now, which scares me. I'm sure Rodgers will come back a bit rusty this week, but he will be good for the Bears game. If both the Bears and Packers win this Sunday, this last game will go down in the books. I don't care if they are both trying to limp into the playoffs, should be a fantastic game

Looking ahead to next week:

Bears play the Eagles. Could easily lose that game.
Lions play the Giants. Could easily lose that game.
Packers play the Steelers. Could easily lose that game.

It's still a three-way race.

Tillman now reported out for the rest of the year ..no appearance in the final games, or the playoff game if it comes to that .

That's probably the last we'll see of Tillman, at least in a Bear uniform.
