I'm hoping the Bears will take care of the O line and up the defense a bit. Where as Offense was a hit or miss last year, I truly think that the fixes 'should be small'. 5-15 yard passes are solid, running game is consistent, long yardage throws should be have been easier to come by imo, but I think we have the talent if we can get Cutler and the receivers on the same page.

So will this be a full season, or a modified mini one because of the lockout?

That doesn't change the fact that I want him. I know he's not a Martz typical WR, but the Bears are one of 3 teams he's targeting and it would be a joy to see a WR over 6' tall. He's a young 34, only having played 8 full seasons and the dude shot himself, he's not the character nightmare Angelo likes to avoid.

Yes, and he had multiple problems including multiple gun incidents, his bodyguard getting killed outside a club, and a DUI which lead to his release.

His also had plenty of warnings and "advise" on how to conduct himself while playing on the Bears, going against Jerry's exact advise caused his release. Not a single previous incident.

The comparison of legal troubles between these two players is a huge reach.

Plaxico has had some issues but definitely not on the Tank Johnson level. However, the Bears have shown no interest and while Plaxico has claimed the Bears are one of his "top 3" he has said that to more than 3 teams, ha. In addition, a player who hasn't played in the league is usually not a recipe for success. It takes time to readjust to the NFL.

Some rumors are moving around that the Bears might be interested in Roy Williams if the price is right. His stock probably can't be much lower than right now, but two things going for him: he has played in the Mike Martz system and he still has all the tools. Again, at the absolute right price, he could be worth a gamble.
