Urlacher out for 2-4 week! That changes everything. They'll be lucky to win 2 more, and will probably only win 1, if BU doesn't play.

Disastrous! And I had pinned all my hopes on the Bears given how heinous the Chiefs have been playing and how disappointing the Rams have been this year. Yet again.

I mostly watch where the ball goes. I think Urlacher is still a big part of the success of their defense, even if he's not as fast as he once was, he brings a good mental aspect to every play and know how to sniff out disguises in the offenses they face.

Doesn't really change that much -- he hasn't been particularly been a game-changer this season. Between him helping with call-playing from the sidelines and Briggs' leadership on the field, it may be a net benefit to get a fresh, healthy set of legs on the field.

The Bears' bigger problem is an offense that cannot consistently put points on the board. I see them possibly getting to the NFC championship game, but they just aren't a SB-caliber team with or without a healthy Urlacher.

Urlacher is still a good player and a fantastic leader on the D. However I dont see much of a loss from him sitting. He can still give everyone high fives from the side line.

I agree with jwaiter on this one, Urlacher is like Peppers and brings a "disruption" to an opponent that goes beyond the stats.

But speaking of Peppers, WTF has happened to our pass rush?

Even with Urlacher they would have been lucky to win two more. It doesn't change much of anything.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but was wondering how safe opposing fans are at soldier field, specifically NFC North fans: Vikings, Lions, and especially Packers? Should other fans just not wear their fan gear?
I remember 2 seasons ago there were stories after the playoff game Bears vs Packers of slashed faces and such...
