Seems like a lot of roads will be closed off for it. Might be a big ordeal for those who are trying to get around. Is there information about alternative routes from ones being disrupted?

I thought I heard LSD was not being closed at all except for on race days (just 2 days I think). But the loop area will be a mess for a bit, east of probably about Wabash, maybe more.

Dates for the Races is July 1 & July 2, if no rain delays. Should be no problem for most. Check about the Michigan ave parking garage, Museum campus.

So, now that the race is in the books, what do Chicagoans think?

Invite NASCAR back?

As someone who watched it on TV, I'd like to see it again.

I also would like to see formula 1 in Chicago too.

FYI: I don't live in Chicago, so any issues these events may bring don't affect me.

I enjoyed watching it on TV. And believe it or not, I wouldn't mind it if NASCAR came back for another race.

I read (on social media) that people who went down to the loop for the festivities reported that it was a really good time. Even with the rainouts.

Maybe we they can add a monster truck event to it. That might be interesting to say the least.

I heard it was a 3 year contract - so it will be happening again in 2024 and 2025. But that was hearsay.

This article says you're correct, but / and the 2024 dates are not yet determined.
