Thanks!
That's because you're on South Clinton st. Once you get north of Madison st, the N/S dividing line, the addresses go up as you go north.

Just look go on a street with all sides. Look in the direction which has no Skyscapers or anything in the distance.
That will be the lake.
That will be East.

The streets are a grid, no curves.

That doesn't work too well if you're West of the Loop. From the Clinton stop you'll see nothing but sky looking West (down the Eisenhower) and looking East you'll see the old Post Office building blocking your view of anything else.

Look at the sun at noon.
It will be directly south.

Ok, enough smart-assery...there is a large sign at the Clinton Blue Line stop that says UNION STATION 2 BLOCKS with an arrow pointing north. It also tells you where the Greyhound Bus stop is.

Walk out of the station, find and cross over the river and walk towards the elevated train tracks you see a few blocks in the distance. Once you get to that street (Wells) find some stairs on the sidewalk that lead to a station up above. Enter that station, Quincy, via stairs on that same side of street - don't cross over Wells and go up the other set of stairs - and take the Brown Line train that comes with "Kimball" written on it.
