I wonder if anybody noticed that recently the attitude of the parking attendants at O'Hare has changed towards much more aggression. I mean the guys who hang out at the arrivals' pickup area and make sure that the cars are not parked unless they are actually picking up. While it's understood that this is necessary, the level of anger and aggression they demonstrate seems to me off the mark, especially when there are not so many cars. Today I was picking up my son from terminal 1, and the attendant was yelling at me while pulling out ticket book within 5 seconds after I stopped, I don't exaggerate. Another time I was approached by two attendants who for some reason decided that I'm Uber driver - to say they were aggressive would be an understatement. This hasn't been this way before, so I wonder if anybody else noticed the same, and what changed.

People park ignoring the signs, it's got to be frustrating dealing with people who don't want to follow the rules. Generally if you are following the rules, they leave you alone.

I've actually noticed the opposite. I've been to the airport probably 10 times in the last 6 months and I was surprised at how lax they've been. It used to be that they were yelling and/or whistling at every car who was parked for even a slight second.

Lately, I've noticed a lot of cars just sitting in the arrivals.

OP, perhaps you were there on a very busy holiday weekend or something? I've noticed they have calmed down a bit since 9/11.

They are always pissed off. But to be fair....people would totally to advantage of the pick up and drop off area if nobody was there to monitor it. Also, the morons that park along the shoulder on the way to the terminals instead of going to the cell phone parking lot. What the hell are they doing?
