Nothing in Warrenville but some rain and heavy lightning, which looked freakin tremendous. What a show!

I love a good thunderstorm. I'm about 800 miles away, at the moment, though.

Yesterday was a weird weather day. I drove down LSD and there were huge waves of fog just rolling off the lake into downtown/Lincoln Park/Lakeview -- at 4:00pm. I've never seen fog that thick that late in the day.

I live on the 18th floor of a highrise and last night it sounded like rocks were hitting the windows. Stuff like that always scares me to death, and I just hold my breath 'til it's over.

No damage here, though. Now today is hot and unbelievably humid.

Its gonna stay that way according to the forecasts, at least until next Tues/Wed. Feels like where I used to live in TN. SUCKS!

Yeah it sounded like golf ball sized hail.

It was a very hot day yesterday indeed. Atleast we have some storms coming in and that means clouds. So, we don't have it that bad coming into the weekend. The day I left Nashville (last sunday around 10:30am) it was so miserable at that time of the morning I felt like I was gonna get sick. I swear, I hate the heat down there - it is just insane. I got here at around 8:00pm or so, parked the Penske in the alley, got out and felt like I was in heaven! It was a slight chill when the wind blew and felt great. I called down to Nashville and the person I had on the phone said it still felt like it was 90 degrees outside. The weather down there even at night doesn't get cooler in the summer months.
