We fly into Chicago on Wednesday, so if I am not too tired, I'm there! I have been watching Chicago clips and Chicago fireworks clips on Youtube and it's making me all sentimental. The thought of sitting next to that beautiful skyline, with hoards of people loving the heck out of Chicago all around me - I can't wait!!!

I'm hoping watch them from The Cell this Thursday evening as I watch the Sox (hopefully) win the game I'm going to.

Isnt so cool how you have to go undergorund in a walking tunnel to get to the best beaches. oak st/division st/ north ave.

A friend is having a get together in a high rise downtown where well see the fireworks from his little bathroom window...nah just kidding, they have a great view from a huge window, I hope.

I dont think I am. After doing it so many times it gets old. I would rather have a great time with some friends BBQing.

Have fun though.

I am moving all day, so I'll probably be too tired, which is super disappointing. I've never not seen fireworks for Independence Day!

I remember that from my childhood. I used to love that! When is it? In August, right? I will definitely go this year. I can't believe I fly to Chicago tomorrow! (And there are supposed to be hurrendous storms.)

I've seen several posters comment that downtown is simply absurd to go watch this. Is there a place in River North or even LPLakeview where y ou can catch the fireworks, but with slightly less insanity? How far north can youreasonably get a good experience with them too?
