It's still Boystown. But that is a term that sort of refers to the area around Halsted Street (just as "Wrigleyville" is centered around Clark). I don't think that Boystown has any real borders, and it's certainly not all of East Lakeview.

Thanks for the replies. I checked out that meetup.com, had not heard of it before, but it kinda looks interesting.

Belmont is the border of boystown in Lakeview. Halsted and Broadway south of Belmont have a totally different feel. The farther north you get, the more "colourfull" it becomes. The bars/cubs/restaurants just north of belmont on halsted are 50/50 places where straights and gays congregate.

Default 30-somethings ...

I'm in my late 30s, and looking for a 'hot-spot'. Im trying to free up weekends for 'fun' but no idea where to go.

Im sort of a recluse outside of work because most people I've ran across my age are usually at their 'hot-spot', hanging outside of the liquor store all day looking for the one person to give them a quarter. Not my idea of an ideal mate.

Someone knows something I don't, clue me in...

I was hoping for some fun, intellectual, career-minded people. A mixed crowd. I'm not picky...

**I like metal/alt. music, concerts, I'm a bit wild (according to friends)
punk rock scene...

I'd like a fun crowd
