Hi Guys
We were seeing some flats in downtown....
high rent of $2200 for 2 BR
Fine we four people can bear that but we came to know car parking is $250 per month extra!

Does someone know if we can park our car somewhere else in suburbs and stay in downtown and go on weekends and use the car?
Let me know

Instead of living downtown, why want you and your friends live in Lincoln Park or Lakeview on the northside. That way you don't have to pay $250 and you still will be close to downtown. It don't make sense to park your car all the way in the suburbs and then you have to take the train all the way to the suburbs to get your car.

if you absolutely MUST keep the car, then i would suggest the northwest side where there is generally plentiful street parking, and the train (blue line or Metra) will take you downtown.

Ditch the car and get a zip.car or I-go membership (car-sharing service). Otherwise, don't live where parking is so expensive. (Or if you do, don't complain about it.)
