I dont really know how to play billiards but I know how to play pool.

By billiards I meant pool...thats what people call it in US...right?

Many of us use the term pool unless we are playing a billiard game.
I do not play much anymore. I still have skills however. I used to hold court in quite a few bars.

Do you need a suggestion on a place to play?

Chris's Billiards (4637 N. Milwaukee Ave.) would be one of the best places to go to. It has been around forever and it does not serve alcohol. In this case it is a good thing. The focus here is the game nothing else.

I like pool as a casual played while drinking a pitcher (or 4) kind of thing... anywhere good for that?

Great response Avengerfire. Chris's has a notorious underground following as the Color of Money with Tom Cruise & Paul Newman was filmed there.

Right! No Beer = pool no fun!!

Especailly fun with 4 pitchers. Aragx6 gets me too drunk at our get togethers lol.
