Sweet Home Chicago. I'm coming home for a weekend visit after 30 years of being away from my home town. I'm taking the Blue Line from O'Hare, and the transfer bus is at North Avenue & Damen, where I'll travel on to the 1400 block of Sandburg Terrace. Just thought I'd inquire as to the safety of this vicinity. Thanks.

North/Milwaukee/Damen is one of the busiest nightlife corners in the city. You'll be fine.

Thanks very much. It's been such a long time that it'll definitely be a Rip Van Winkle experience. It'll be hard to leave.

Default River City Mall

Just to briefly answer your question. NO.

It is about like North Riverside Mall but worse. I sometimes go to the Ballys near there on my way back to Indiana. That area is not great.
