So I remember we had the first 70 degree weather in early June, now its early Sept and I checked the weather forecast which says that there's not gonna be any 80 degree weather for the next 10 days. It is raining today and will be again on sunday.

We only had three months of decent weather in a year?

Im not sure what you mean by decent, but as long as its low 60s and above you're not going to hear any complaints from me. Come on, this is the nicest time of year! What more can you ask for than mid 70s?

If you ask me, below 80 degrees is decent weather, which is half the reason I live as far north as I do.

I'm dreading all these upcoming 74-78 degree sunny days

I also agree that sunny and over 60 is very pleasant, and anything over 40 and sunny really isn't too bad at all. At this point we're still about 2 months away from the first overnight frost and 3 months from the first days of really cold weather.

Average lo/hi temps for the first of each upcoming months (since 1971) are:
Sept: 62/79
Oct: 51/70
Nov: 39/55
Dec: 28/41
Jan: 17/31

I agree with you. You are not the only one that is sad. However, we usually a have a couple of 80 days left just give you some hope

I hope there are a few warm, sunny days left, especially after today!

Today weather is the remnants of Hurricane Gustav. Not really much Chicago could do about that.

You never know. Last year the marathon was cancelled due to the heat in October.

if weather below 80 is "bad," I think you're living in the wrong city.
