Absolutely - I do note in my neck of the woods there was an issue years back where an alderman refused a free donation of a building proposed for use as a gym for indoor soccer. Speculation was the fellow (who is Puerto Rican) didn't want to upset the balance by encouraging more Mexicans in his ward. I have a buddy who's 50/50 Mexican & Puerto Rican, and it is amazing to hear tell of the difference in views the two groups often have on a multitude of issues.

Not really, though. Many northeastern cities are near the top as well. It's pretty much any area that was urbanized before 1950--and that had a significant black population (Boston isn't up there on the list because it historically had a small black population).

To answer what is wrong with segregation:

It makes for a boring life. I would like to meet and see other people...plus I'll never be in the majority...where are the Native Americans in Chicagoland?

not true at all lmao, depends on the city and if the neighborhoods of the latino ethnic group has been living amongst american blacks for quite some time like in a city like NY..... but theres still friction..culture shocks... language barriers etc common ground based on language theres too many differences and black cannot and should not be compared to latino or latin american or any country because race and nationality comparisons are stupid.. theres blacks people in almost every latin american country

african ancestry and being black is not mutually the same.

The way this thread is set up now it looks like this comment is aimed at me, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't. I'm assuming some posts were erased?

I'll take a stab at this one. yes, Chicagoans shun Native Americans from their city. Why? Because the Native Americans buy up more properties in Wisconsin than they can. This makes Chicagoans boil with envy.
