I didn't ask for anything 'buddy'. I just was just thinking a maybe-what if-possible theory it was because we were black. I have no clue. All I know is that my mother was disrespected, not me. I have a problem with that is all. And I simply wanted to know have you dealt with people like that in a similar situation. Why do you have to be so rude? I don't understand that.

I hope it wasn't because we were black and maybe they were putting us into a stereotype or something? Or perhaps it was their ivy-league/harvard degree that finally got to their heads? Idk, it was definitely an eye-opener for me. I mean, I love Chicago and love ocasionally seeing downtown, but not to be disrespected you know? Hmm...

Hmmmm... I suggest picking a new law firm instead of stereotyping all Ivy-League educated lawyers. If a person I hire treats me like trash, I fire them right away and find someone new. I'm sure there are plenty of others who would take your business AND treat you well.

Well I apologize if I didn't mention it. But all I wanted was a answer. I'm not a confrontational person. I don't like drama. I wish we could just handle this better.

I have dealt with rude,know-it-all, "I am better than you" morons from all economic, racial, national, and educational backrounds.

Why not just file a complaint with the bar association instead of trying to spark a pointless debate on this board?

...and also as Lookout Kid said, find a new lawyer if possible...

Thank you so much! That's all I wanted! And I apologize if you feel I was stereotyping Ivy-League educated lawyers and such.

Why not just file a complaint with the bar association instead of trying to spark a dumb thread on this board?
I'm not sparking anything! Your the one who's being incredibly rude! You cannot answer a simple question without taking the offensive! Oh and FYI, there's alot more of assumed 'dumb' threads on here then mine. I can't believe you. This is so childish!

Look, if you are not satisfied with a lawyer for any reason, step number one is to find a new one. Why you had to add all kinds of assumptions and stereotypes to your post makes no sense. You invited peoples wrath.

No, I didn't. You did. You did not have to respond the way you did. That was your choice. You and I could have handled it alot better and you probably would have educated me on the subject! Personally, I don't mean harm to anyone. I never like to judge or you know stereotype people because I have been stereotyped alot and experienced racism first hand for the first time this year. So I have no idea what to tell you. I mean, I try to be civil and that's all I can do. I apologize if your angry but honestly, I mean no harm. And it's not like I'm perfect or something. I'm sure you've made assumptions about things or people before. We all have! The thing is, we learn from it, and move on! I think this thread was blown totally out of proportion.
