Old post, but didn't see it mentioned.

Stir of Echos was filmed on S. Richmond St. on the south side.
Near a church.
I remember being their when they were filming.

The apartment where Sandra Bullock lived in "While You Were Sleeping" is located at 3009 W. Logan Blvd. in Logan Square. There are many good shots of Chicago in this movie.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986)

Filmed in Wicker Park before it became fashionable. Henry and his partner in crime Otis live at 1801 W. North Ave. Apparently it's now a laudromat.

Save the Last Dance (1999) with Julia Stiles was based on the Southside of Chicago and had great shots of the loop during some of the scenes!

Adventures in Babysitting - toward the end, when the little girl climbs out the window, its that building with the sloping windows over on Michigan and Randolph.

Groundhog Day was also in Woodstock, IL. When they show the gazebo and the downtown area, you can see the shops. One of the shops in Woodstock did not re-label their store for the movie, and you can see it in one or two of the shots.
