I am the single mother of a 4 year old
who will be starting kindergarden in September 2009. I will be graduating from college with a degree in history and minor in political science in May 2009. I will be moving to Chicago from New York City upon graduation, to attend grad school and earn a masters in education. While I attend graduate school, I am wondering if anyone has ideas about jobs I can get into with a liberal arts degree to support myself and my son besides maybe substitute teaching? Also what the best charter/public/private schools I can get him into? I will be residing in the Ravenswood area so i'd like to have an idea about what schools are the best in the neighborhood?

who will be starting kindergarden in September 2009. I will be graduating from college with a degree in history and minor in political science in May 2009. I will be moving to Chicago from New York City upon graduation, to attend grad school and earn a masters in education. While I attend graduate school, I am wondering if anyone has ideas about jobs I can get into with a liberal arts degree to support myself and my son besides maybe substitute teaching? Also what the best charter/public/private schools I can get him into? I will be residing in the Ravenswood area so i'd like to have an idea about what schools are the best in the neighborhood?
